FYAKIN CONTINUES THE JOURNEY - January 29, 2013 marks the release date of the newest single by young artist Fyakin titled "Journey" - his first independent release (under his own label - Nyle Banks Music). Fyakin, who is from St. Andrew, Jamaica, began his professional career in 2005. He's had the fortune to work with a variety of producers as well as perform on some of Jamaica's most popular stage shows. In late 2011 Fyakin traveled from Jamaica to Burlington, VT (USA) for a video shoot of "Old Vibes" (Upsetta Records). In fact it was during that lengthy excursion that Fyakin penned the lyrics for "Journey". This track gives us a glimpse into the artist's thoughts on pursuing the path of Rastafari while simultaneously perfecting his craft as a performer, songwriter, and producer. Through his poignant lyrics, Fyakin brings us to the understanding that while there is often struggle and obstacles – the blessings of Rastafari bring great peace and joy to life’s journey.
